The Kingdom Corenth

Political System : Monarchy

1. The King and His Queen reside in the capitol city of Corenth and appoint all of the dukes to the east of Corenth. They also conduct all of the larger negotiations with the Empire that are of national concern.
2. The Prince(ss) Regent resides in the western capitol city of Lidek and he appoints all of the dukes to the west of Korenth. (S)He conducts all of the negotiations with the Elven Nation and with the Council of Freeport that are of national concern.
3. Each Duke has reign over his lands and may raise his own troops , yet he still owe his fealty to the crown and the people do not forget this.

B. The Great Empire of His Graciousness Emperor Lazerani

Political System Bureaucratic Empire

1. The Emperor resides in the capitol city of Bal'Agath he is more of a figurehead and although may make a new law or official , without the approval of the House of Advisors it will get tied up in bureaucracy will be left to dust in a book on a shelf.
2. The House of Advisors is group of locally appointed officials that is indeed a service not privilege. Every married land owning male will serve six years as an official and each area has six officials. During this time their land and owning's are seized and auctioned off and he and his family live on a meager state estate and pension. Depending on how well they serve is how much they receive after their time in service. Each male is required to serve only one term.

C. The Collective Cities of Freeport

1. The council that governs this land is said the be nothing more than a council of Thieves Guild Masters that meet together in some semblance of an honest government from each of five major cities.
2. This ruling body sets most of the trade prices and has yet to be conquered completely by neither the Kingdom nor the Empire.

D. The Elven Nation

Political System Aristocratic Monarchy

1. The Elven Nation is controlled by the wealthy merchants and has yet to have a controlling body that could last though a poor trading season. The capitol of the nation is deep within its borders. Only those that are invited may enter the borders and very few have ever seen the capitol of Quentharianon.
2. While the government of the long lived elves might seem flighty and unstable to humans it does not seem to cause any unrest in the nation when a new merchant family replaces another.
